Holton Named All-American Congratulations to BC senior, Carter Holton, who was named a 17u Tournament All-American and Pitcher of the Year from Perfect Game. Carter Holton was equally impressive as he held his stuff from the start of the summer through the end of the fall. Holton had a couple epic outings at the Ultimate Baseball Classic (where he was named MV-Pitcher) and a complete-game win in the playoffs of the WWBA National Championship. Both helped tip the scale given the opposition and setting, the left-hander earns the Tournament Pitcher of the Year.

BC was happy to support the Chatham-Savannah Citizen Advocacy fundraiser last Sunday. They weren't able to hold their annual oyster roast this year, but because of their passion and creativity, they held a drive-thru dinner in the Benedictine parking lot. #thebc400 #character #purpose

The following BC sporting events will take place on campus this week: Today: Freshman basketball vs. Effingham 5:30 p.m. Saturday: JV and varsity basketball vs. Beach Time TBD (Soccer and track are allowed to begin practice today to prepare for their upcoming seasons).

Benedictine Military School Cadets in Mr. Bob Graham’s honors anatomy and physiology class are boiling rats and disassembling them for their rat skeleton assembly project. Benedictine Military School’s swim team competed in the 2020 Cadet Invitational swim meet highlighted by some great GHSA state qualifying swims. Junior Reese Whelan qualified in the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 Breast. Freshman Kadin Dibkey qualified in the 100 Butterfly and the 500 freestyle. The 200 freestyle relay of Whelan, Dibkey and seniors Cowen Bland and Charles Crossley will also be headed to the GHSA state meet. Special thanks to Mr. Chad Bland for the photos.

Benedictine Military School defeated Riverdale, 48-13, in a GHSA Class AAAA quarterfinal Friday night at Memorial Stadium to advance to the Final Four! BC (9-2) will play host to Jefferson (13-0) next Friday night in a semifinal at Memorial Stadium. Jefferson defeated Carver-Columbus (10-1), 28-22, in the quarterfinals Friday night. Benedictine Military School celebrated Homecoming by defeating South Effingham, 39-25, on Friday night at Memorial Stadium to improve to 6-2 overall. Benedictine graduates John Wesley Kennedy III and Chris Harris, Jr., both now playing football for Georgia Southern University, attended the game to cheer for their BC brothers. Congratulations to BC Homecoming Queen Miss Olivia Sheffield of St. Vincent's Academy (nominated by Mr. Thomas King and escorted by Mr. Luke Conneff); 1...st Runner-up Miss Madison Naydeck of St. Vincent's Academy (nominated by Mr. Trent Broadnax and escorted by Mr. Griffin Montavon); and 2nd Runner-up Miss Emma Beddow of St. Vincent's Academy (nominated by Mr. Nick Dillon and escorted by Mr. Parker Denmark).
