Happy Monday Cooler Fam! It’s time to try out part 3 of my stretching regime, forward fold You can’t skate very well on tight, stiff legs...so if you’re stuck inside, might as well give this a go. ... #MotivationMonday See more

Thought it’d be best to take a break from #MotivationMonday today, to put the attention where it truly belongs. Memorial Day. A day to honor all of those who sacrificed their lives for our nation, in the name of freedom. So instead of skating off ice moves, I took on the US Army Physical Fitness Test. There were some technical problems on my end with the sit up technic. I didn’t realize how far away my feet were until that part was complete. Usually, I would’ve redone it no ...problem. However, the military test has to be done in order with correct timings. Didn’t have enough time for that today unfortunately. I’d definitely like to try it again! Besides that, I passed Pushups - 17 Sit Ups - 52 2 mi run - 17.20

Good morning Cooler Fam! Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start. Usually our at home off ice video goes up on Monday. However, this week Monday soared past me before I had time to edit it. ... So here’s some motivation intended for Monday, coming to you on a Tuesday. Do something today, that your future self will thank you for. (Levels covered today; Freeskate 3 & 4)

Happy Monday Cooler Fam! Hope your week is off to a stellar start We’re on week 5 of our motivation Monday series ... Today we’ve got some more advanced moves for your off ice practice, with the exception of some crossovers from basic 4 (even high level skaters have to brush up on the basics every now and then!). If you haven’t been following along, be sure to check out our previous #motivationmonday posts to get caught up to speed in your off ice journey. Highly recommend going outside in your driveway, or on your porch to do this. You’ll get some much needed vitamin D. We’re all in this together

Happy Monday Cooler Fam! It’s Week 4 of #MotivationMonday ... Elements covered are from Freeskate 1-3 Practice note: if you have inline skates, you could definitely give all of these elements a go in them! Just be sure to pad up beforehand, concrete is a little less forgiving than ice. Now get after it! The ice will be back eventually. In the meantime, keep at it so you’re ready! #officetraining #athome #staysafe

Happy #FunFriday Cooler Fam! A great & fun way to utilize your newfound free time is to switch gears into very important aspect of becoming a great skater, cross training! Sports are extremely specialized nowadays. However. I dare you to name one successful figure skater or hockey player who doesn’t do off ice conditioning, and another sport/activity to balance out their training load. You’re not just a skater, you’re an athlete! Playing another sport makes your muscles work ...in a different manner than you’re use to, and also provides a mental escape from the usual day to day rigors. So get outside! (or in your garage) Throw a football around, stream a yoga class online, shoot some hoops! Maybe swing a golf club

Happy Monday Cooler Fam! Hope everyone is #athome, practicing their off ice exercises! That way, we’re ready to go when everything is safe. We cover 5 elements in today’s video, with some modifications & challenges.... Be sure to try these out! Will be building on top of them next week. (Also would like to note for the half biellmann spiral, you can try it on your non dominate side as well!) Have fun!

Happy Friday!! For all of us fortunate enough to be safe at home, we can find lots of fun outdoors by taking walks, throwing a football, or going for a bike ride when the weather allows. But what about on the days when the Georgia weather leaves us stuck inside? I give you, stair sliding! You will need the following items...... A flight of stairs Gymnastics mat(s) or yoga mats Pillows to slide on, and to use for padding Helmet (optional) Safest option would be to go feet first, but if you put down enough padding, you can get creative
