Okay, time to get personal! We’re 12 days out from our race, and we have had quite a few curveballs come our way. Dana, our race director, has a heart cath tom...orrow to evaluate a soft blockage of her left main artery. This is a serious blockage, and we are ecstatic that the doctors found this ahead of time. Last week, Will, Dana’s son, graduated from Fire School and is a Cherokee County Fire Fighter. It has been an exciting and emotional couple of months. We ask for patience as we address this, support and love for Dana, and we would be thrilled to see you race day. Whether you run, walk, or volunteer, please come out October 27th! This mother and daughter team works hard to organize this community-based event, and we also aim to be transparent, as we are just two people. As always, happy trails. See more
