An invitation from Emmalee Hackshaw GPB and NPR Hello Friends, I hope that this email finds each of you well and surviving the challenging year that is 2020. T...he reason for my email today is to share with you information about a virtual event that may be of interest. GPB is hosting an NPR Virtual Speaker Series this fall, featuring NPR and GPB reporters speaking in depth on a variety of news topics. The first event, The Creative Industry in COVID, will take place next Thursday, October 29 at 7pm. GPB’s Rickey Bevington will be joined in conversation by NPR’s Yuki Noguchi and Neda Ulaby. Yuki Noguchi covered economics for a number of years before just recently moving over to the science desk, and Neda Ulaby reports on arts and cultural trends for NPR’s Arts Desk. The three of them will be discussing the creative industry’s path to recovery from the COVID crisis. This event is free to attend, and registration is available online here.I hope you will consider joining us for this talk, and please share the invitation with your own personal and professional networks. Feel free to reach out if you have questions or would like more information. Thank you all for the important work that you do, be well! Sincerely, Emmalee Hackshaw See more
