When I was little, my Mom used to drag me with we to the grocery store early every Saturday morning. Every other month or so we made a batch of seasoning she would use for cooking. This pandemic is a perfect time to bring her practice back. #veganseasoning #allpurpose #herbsandspices

When we’re quiet, it’s because we’re taking care of the children. Tange and I believe in mentoring and the power of sharing God’s love to nourish young minds and spirits. Here’s a little of what I do on Fridays. Tange’s preferred day is Saturday.
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN Village, I would like your help getting winter coats/jackets for two of our babies at Forest Cove (Atlanta). (This is the apartment compl...ex I visit on Fridays. I bring dinner and hang out with any of the kids who want to hang out with me.) These two and I have grown very fond of each other in just 6, less than 1 hour, Friday visits. Kissa, is an 8 year old petite girl. She is 1 of 7 kids living with their single Mom. Mom has 9 kids in total, I think. Judging from the colors I have seen her wear, she likes pink and purple. The jacket I see her in now is too small, the zipper doesn’t work and it is dirty. In our conversations, I found out she’s embarrassed by it. She wants to be clean and neat. She also has a strong inclination to do the right thing and be considerate of others. Judging from her environment, that can be a struggle. She has a lot of personality (outspoken and spunky), strength of character, and is very playful. She’s likely a size small in girls. Aman is an 11 year old boy. He was away for winter break, so I’ve actually only spent 4 visits with him. I think he shows a lot of independent thinking and has the quality of a leader; because, in a community where it’s probably ‘cooler’ to be hanging out with the other boys, he finds a way to ‘fake’ reluctantly hang out with me. So far, he is the oldest and at first the only boy. (Last week, h/w, one of his friends followed him to my car to pick up a dinner). Aman, makes sure he’s always the last to leave me; because, I believe, he’s -on the low - trying to make sure I’m okay. I don’t know much about his family yet except he has siblings and a woman he calls ‘grandma’ comes to the apartments to watch them for his Mom. When I asked if he got anything he wanted to Christmas, he responded, My teacher asked me the same thing. I didn’t want anything. He didn’t get anything either. Aman is probably a size medium in boys. I’ve never seen Aman wear a jacket. I know it’s a pretty long explanation, just to request help, but I want you to know to whom you’re giving. Every gift - from the heart - comes with a blessing and a prayer. I want you to get every blessing and my babies a prayer with your gift. (I would buy it for them myself if I could afford it (...one day soon), but, today, I need your help). I would like someone to donate new jackets - nice ones you would buy for your own kids. But not too flashy with expensive name branding, please, as we do not want anyone stealing them. I’m going this coming Friday again and I would love to surprise my babies with new jackets. Both of my babies are kids content with what they have and have not asked me for anything. I don’t think they ever would. ALSO, if anyone knows where I can find Christian literature for poor black children living the American experience (because it IS different), please let me know. I am looking for books, pamphlets, witnessing material, ... anything I can put in their dinner bags. Thank you, Village! I love and appreciate y’all!! Love, Adi (Half of The Perfect Girl)
