Here's a sweet little instruction for meditation.

Augusta Meditation Meetup 02.10.2020

This evening at 6:00 pm ET we will have our first Contemplative Service online! The service will be based on the ancient practice of Lectio Divina, or "divine r...eading." I will read a short Bible passage four times, and after each time I will guide us to reflect in a certain way on that passage. I expect the service to last about 30 minutes. No preparation is required, just show up and join in. A helpful guide from Fr. Richard Rohr: Lectio divina is a contemplative way to read short passages of sacred text. With the first reading, listen with your heart’s ear for a phrase or word that stands out for you. During the second reading, reflect on what touches you, perhaps speaking that response aloud or writing in a journal. After reading the passage a third time, respond with a prayer or expression of what you have experienced and what it calls you to. Finally, rest in silence after a fourth reading. The Technical Stuff The service will be held on the Zoom video conference platform so we will all be able to see each other. To join the meeting, follow this web link to download and install Zoom: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/106835610 If that one doesn't work, try this one to join via your web browser instead: https://us04web.zoom.us/wc/join/106835610 There is no password and the link should guide you through any set up that needs to be done. You should be able to use the link before the service time to "practice" getting into the conference, which is probably a good idea given that this is all new to all of us! I look forward to seeing you there. Rev Dan
