Jimi Hendrix' original lyric manuscript of "Crosstown Traffic," on the wall at Little Tape in London this evening. The paper is wrinkled, the lyrics are faded a...nd nearly illegible now. But the thing about music (and life) is that as long as people are singing your song, you won't ever truly fade; you'll always be there in spirit. Thinking of Jimi as I fall asleep tonight, and of all my friends out on the road, chasing songs halfway around the world, standing next to the fires they catch. Thanks for fanning the flames, London. And thanks Jimi for the inspiration that continues to sing in so many hearts, long after the pages you wrote your own heart down on have faded from view.
