We are hiring a Cashier-Greeter for our Discovery Shop. In addition to standard cashier duties in our Discovery Shop, this position is both the first and last staff member to connect with our visitors so it plays a big role in the visitor experience. Part-time, with morning or afternoon shifts. Starting pay is $9 per hour. Must enjoy interacting with the public and have a basic comfort level with computerswe’ll teach you everything else.

We are thrilled to announce the three phased opening of our new center! Starting Thursday, February 18, the Gift Shop will be open Thursday through Sunday, 10am-4pm. In addition to shopping our expanded gift shop, visitors can also enjoy the spectacular views from our Ship Watch Loft and Amphitheater. The West Gallery will open on Thursday, March 25th, followed by the East Gallery, Sea Turtle Workshop and Open Air Classroom and Gallery, opening Saturday, May 1st. What long antennae you have there, shrimp! All the better to sense with. It’s fun fact Friday. Did you know? Shrimp utilize two pairs of antennae. The longer antennae are used to orient themselves with their surroundings and the shorter antennae are used in finding food. They are shrimply the best at sensing their surroundings.
