Leaving someone by themselves with severe symptoms can be dangerous for themselves or others. Medical Amnesty and Responsible Action Protocol are there to ensure everyone feels comfortable making the call for help. The Fontaine Center recognizes a majority of UGA students are choosing not to engage in alcohol or other substance use. Whether students are choosing to consume alcohol or other substances or not, it is important for all individuals to have the knowledge and skills as a part of a caring community, and help others in an environment where substances may be present.
