This Saturday, Oct 17 during the Oconee Chamber Fall Festival (Since 1974) we will host the following activities outside of the Eagle Tavern from 10am-2pm. Storytelling with Miss Maggie Haunted history book signing with author, Tracy L. Adkins ... Note: Tours of the Eagle Tavern are cancelled due to repairs.

Let’s get to decorating! Visit Oconee is challenging downtown businesses to decorate the outside of their business or store windows with fall decorations and at least one carved pumpkin to participate in the PUMPKIN WARS! We are also challenging individuals to bring an already carved pumpkin and place it in front of the Eagle Tavern to be included in the contest. We will have a People’s Choice award that will be presented on October 30, 2020.... To participate as an individual please bring your already carved pumpkin to downtown Watkinsville on main street. Locate an empty space on one of the 2 front porches or steps at the Eagle Tavern. Judging will be on October 30th. RULES FOR JUDGING CONSIDERATION: Businesses: Decorate your downtown business with beautiful fall decorations and at least one carved pumpkin | Individuals: One pumpkin per person | ONLY battery-operated tea lights allowed inside of the pumpkin | Name & email must be written in permanent marker on the back. Ready, set, GO!
