National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force COVID-19 Update The health and safety of museum visitors are top priorities of the National Museum of the Mighty ...Eighth Air Force, especially during this period of uncertainty due to COVID-19. Please know that the museum continues to monitor advisories from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), local/state/federal government and the American Alliance of Museums on the status of COVID-19. Enhanced cleaning of door handles, push bars, commode/urinal handles, counter tops, touchscreen kiosks, push buttons and handsets began more than a week ago. Hand wipes are available at the greeter and admission desks for visitors and staff. The pen used to sign the guest register is cleaned, as are tables and chairs following events. Other measures such as posting of COVID-19 symptoms and requiring museum staff to stay home or be sent home due to illness are in place. The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force presently is operating on regular hours, 9:00 am 5:00 pm, Monday-Sunday. Please know that the museum is closely monitoring this fluid situation in an effort to ensure visitor and staff health and safety. The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force will furnish updates on programs and operating hours as warranted.
