Please see below the information for the Part-Time weekend opportunity at the City of Atlanta Historic Washington Park and McGhee Tennis Centers. ... Five (5) to Eight (8) people Part-Time employment for Fifteen (15) to Twenty-two (22) hours on the weekend. Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm, predicated on the conclusion of league play. Required to prep tennis courts. Pay: Fourteen dollars ($14.00) to Fifteen dollars ($15.00) per hour. Knowledge of Tennis, Atlanta leagues or Atlanta league play Understand the importance of Customer Service representing the City of Atlanta. As I watched the Andy Murray and Felix Auger-Alissime match during tonight's US Open coverage, I could not help but think about how much I missed making the 7th... trip to the US Open with the youth of Coach Wink's NJTL. I also hate the fact that we missed out on the celebrating of Althea Gibson becoming the first African American to win the US Open at Forest Hills 70 years ago. I know that the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center will miss the popular chant 'WE ARE ATL!' in the stands as we cheer on our favorite Atlanta player, support our favorite Atlanta coach or any of the other players that we have consistently connected with through tennis. New York City will miss our big bus and bright colored shirts. I will mostly miss our New York friends who always greet us with the statement 'Oh, here comes the group from Atlanta!' I like this because I always say to our young people that they must act like they have been somewhere before o that we will leave the people of New York with a positive memory of our group. Although COVID 19 through a wrench in our plans for this year, I am encouraged by the fact that God has a bigger and better plan for Coach Wink's NJTL next year. ATA Southern Junior UTR Championships II Last year we created the largest UTR event in Atlanta with over 30 players! This year we hope to top our player numbers from last year.
