Hey friends! Just another reminder. We are down 2 full time cake decorators. We highly recommend getting any cake or cookie orders in at least 2 FULL WEEKS IN ADVANCE! We are already fully booked for next week. Then from the 4th of July through Wednesday July 7th we are closed for our annual Summer break.

Hello All! Just wanted to give a shout out to my Dad, Louis McCaslin. It's his birthday today! He is the man that started us all in the bakery life. Many moons ago, he started at a little hole in the wall bakery called "Christians" Bakery at 13 years of age, in our home town of Sandwich IL. He went on to buy that bakery! He hired his brothers and sisters, cousins, friends, and so many others. I do not believe a bad word was ever spoken about him as a boss or man in all these ...years. _ Most of his brothers went on to own their own bakeries, as well as his kids. Now our Daughter owns and operates The Baking Grounds North as a 3rd generation bakery entrepreneur, and even his great Granddaughter Abi McCaslin is working with us as a fourth generation baker/ decorator! We are so proud to carry on this Family Tradition. What a blessing this man has been to so so many people. Time prevents me from listing all he has done for his family, his employees, and his friends, but it is never forgotten! Thank you father for the blessing you have been to us all!

Hey All, just an update to hour Holiday hours. Just an FYI, We will be open Sunday & Monday 12/20 & 12/21 from 9-3 for your convenience, and we will close at 2:00 pm on Christmas eve. Closed Christmas Day through 1/4/21 for our annual Vacation (YIPEE!!!) Re-Open Tuesday 1/5/21... Wishing you all a blessed and happy Holiday season filled with family, love, and laughter!... _ Also we would be remiss if we failed to mention how much we love and appreciate our wonderful staff...hardly a day goes by when a customer pulls us aside to compliment someone on our staff.
