Ponder this verse: "Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another." Romans 14:19 Let God use your life today to be a peacemaker. The second part of that verse encourages us to pursue the things that will "build others up". That is the Truth! Truth is the Word of God. When we follow God's Word (know it and life it) we enjoy the abundant life that Jesus promised His followers.

We praise the Lord for a great Lord's Day Gathering yesterday. Michael Chiavone preached a very timely message entitled: "What's so bad about having a king?" If you were not present for the service, I hope that you will take time to listen to this very biblical and insightful message. Share it with others!

I hope this will be informative and encouraging. May it be a reminder to pray for all of the churches in our associ...Continue reading

Salvation is a gift from God! We have a wonderful salvation and a great Savior. I love the words of the hymn: "Jesus sought me when a stranger,... wandering from the fold of God. He to rescue me from danger interposed His precious blood!" The word "interposed" means to intervene, intercede, or to step-in. That is exactly what Jesus has done for us. He stepped-in and intervened in our sinful state with His precious (powerful, saving and cleansing blood). The theological term is "atonement". Thank the Lord today for stepping-in! Thank the Lord for loving us, giving Himself for our sins. Rejoice in your salvation! Rejoice in your Savior! Rejoice that you are no longer a stranger!

| Ephesians 5:21- 6:5 | Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.... Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; See more

Definition of Faith: "Confidence that God will do what He has promised." God makes a promise. Faith believes it. Hope anticipates it.... Patience quietly awaits it. Charles Stanley (Quoted from The Glorious Journey)
