Whisper Creek Farm - Farm Camp 2020 week 1, Day 4: Final Day of summer camp 2020! Day 4 is my personal favorite since my crazy Ferdinand is the star of the day!! He is always the camp favorite! After hands on steers and cow education, we walked Ferdinand on the trail - which he loves!! Then a trail ride "farm style" aka bareback! Lunch, circle time, and then we made camp picture frames. Made butter for snack and enjoyed it on some saltines!! We even had a special guest show up...... our very own, Miss Agriculture USA, Ms Georgia, Hunter!! That always means extra treats!!! Hands on goats, eyes only on the pig , a rain shower, a fun game of "find the pennies in a hay stack"! Whisper Creek Farm - Farm Camp 2020 week 1, Day 1: Final camp of the summer! Kids had a super busy 1st Day! Today was Chicken, rabbit and planting day! Started off talking chickens! Then hands on chickens with Pearl & Dallia! Played egg toss and ran the egg and spoon race! Lunch and circle time. Ate watermelon on a stick since thats our chickens favorite treat! Chickens ate some too! Then learned about farming crops and planted a flower garden! (To late in the season ...for vegetables!! ) but also talked about bees and pollination! Planted letuce seeds in biodegradable ice cream cones to plant straight in the ground at home! Made garden stakes to to brighten up our gardens!
