SUNDAY 11/22 Handpan Workshop at whitespace Join us for an afternoon of music, education and community. Together we will explore rhythms on the handpan and learn a group composition. ***All ages and experience levels welcomed. Handpans are provided for anyone without an instrument. Please bring your personal instrument if you own one. Class Time 2-5 pm. Get tickets here: https://www.viewcy.com/e/atlanta_handpan_works Please wear a mask as we are respecting social distancing guidelines. This class will be outdoors, weather permitting. The handpan is a steel instrument developed in 2000 in Switzerland. The instrument is formed by the fusion of the Steel Pan from Trinidad and the Ghatam (a clay pot drum) from South India, creating a uniquely multicultural voice. Our instruments are graciously provided by Yishama Pantam.
