The Waycross Journal-Herald office at 311 Carswell Avenue in Waycross will close at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 31 and remain closed on New Year's Day. The office will reopen for the new year at 8 a.m. on Monday, January 4.

Papers with coupons can be found at local convenience stores and at the Waycross Journal-Herald.

The Rev. Raphel Warnock, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senator from Georgia, will be in Waycross Saturday, Dec. 12, from 1:30 until 3 p.m. The exact location has not been announced. Everyone is asked to wear a mask and stay 6 feet away from each other during the event, said Larry Lockey, of Waycross.
