November is National Diabetes Month. If you have diabetes, don’t forget to get a comprehensive dilated eye exam at least once a year. As a result of diabetic retinopathy, most diabetic eye changes occur without any signs or symptoms. Changes often start with weakening of small blood vessels on the retina (the light-sensing layer on the inside of the back of the eye). As the changes progress, they can actually cause blood vessels to rupture and leak blood into the eye which could lead to permanent vision loss. However, diabetic eye changes can be caught early during a comprehensive eye examination. Schedule your examination here: https://www.woolfsoneye.com/locations/
