Congratulations to our Top Spellers! Our school-wide Spelling Bee champion is 8th grader, Anthony Jackson, and our runner-up is 8th grader, Renea Rigdon! Anthony will represent the Warriors at the District-wide Spelling Bee on January 21st.

Progress reports will be coming home with your face to face Warrior student today! They were put in the mail for virtual students. Please ask them for it and have a conversation about it.

During the week of November 9-13, our district will continue to offer meal packs for any child 18 years or younger on Thursday, November 12. Typically meals ar...e available for pick up on Wednesday, but the district will be closed on November 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Meals may be picked up at any of the district’s middle or high schools between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. Our normal Wednesday schedule will resume the following week on November 18. #AllinHCSS

Congratulations to Wimberly Tyler! Ms. Tyler, a 6th grade Warrior ELA teacher, was selected as the winner of the 2020 Cheryl Lynn Daniels Memorial Literacy Grant from Delta Kappa Gamma International Society for Key Women Educators. A check in the amount of $500 was presented to Ms. Tyler for the purchase of informational text selections and bilingual books for her classroom.

For our Virtual Learners: Drive through flu clinics will be held this week, Oct. 21-23, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Houston County Health Department. For our Face to Face Learners: Flu shots will be given at school on Wednesday, Oct. 28 during the day.
