Soo recently I cut my hair into a blunt Bob! I’ve always been one of those girls who was told to never cut their hair. Our hair is always associated with our beauty and for some reason we’ve been conditioned to think the longer hair is better or more beautiful. My dad was actually mad that at 27 years old I decided to cut my hair and I only cut about 4 inches. In January I went through a really bad break up that made me reflect a lot about my choices and what I wanted for my... life. Throughout the relationship I began to lose myself and I wanted a fresh start in my healing process so I started looking internally at the way I loved myself. I always preach to my guests so much about having balance in their hair care routines, especially when wearing we use and extensions. I wanted to challenge myself to feel secure with who I was without adding artificial hair, not only to take care of my hair better but to give my spirit a little more love. I am an avid wig wearer! Yeah I know I love my wigs I don’t believe a girl can have too many! But sometimes I believe we hide behind these wigs and create false identities or false confidence in ourselves. We then perform. I know some ladies who won’t step foot outside of the house without extensions! And I think that is sad to lack the confidence in what God has given you. In my new journey, I have shorter hair, I am meditating, I am exercising, I am eating clean/healthy and I have not depended on substances to numb me. I am learning to sit with who I am and just be. I’m okay with being alone. I’m okay with being misunderstood. I’m okay with not getting what I expected. I’m okay with not finishing ALL the task on my to-do list (which would give me anxiety to the point where I had insomnia), and I’m okay with feeling what I feel ! I’m excited for the new version of me, I’m excited for you all to meet her and I am excited for the growth in my business this year! If my life is about to change you can believe I’m going to change your life too!
