Relative to size the size of a mostly liquid ball 45,075.017km in circumference, 55,000 years is so slow to our 100 year lifespan perspectives but pretty fast in what has been 16-billion year Universe time.

Fans of the Draconid shower might have more luck spying meteors in 2025. That's when Comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner, which produces this meteor shower, passes closer to Earth, according to EarthSky. The comet circles the sun every 6.6 years, and debris from this comet create the Draconid meteor shower.
