CRANE UPDATE: Engineers and workers are on the scene in Midtown trying to stabilize and remove the crane that has been dangling over West Peachtree Street since before 9 a.m. this morning. Just before 7 p.m., another crane was brought to the site to help remove the damaged one. The work may take until Sunday to complete and surrounding streets and businesses remain closed, while residents evacuated from apartments near the 1105 West Peachtree site aren’t being allowed to return until it’s safe.
