We need your support today! Make a comment and help millions of Medicare patients get access to Acupuncture care. Medicare is making big changes in the right direction approving acupuncture for low back pain! However licensed acupuncturists are still in process of being approved.... However there has been a new twist and we need your help! Stuffed into a 400 page technical document, there is a proposal to lower our reimbursement rates from current levels! This would render Medicare patients at a great disadvantage to receive acupuncture treatment as the rates would be unacceptably low for us and other providers to accept. We are ready, willing and able to see Medicare patients at the current rates as soon as they approve us as providers. With the proposed change we will not be able to see Medicare patients! Additionally, this may prevent us from treating Veterans who we are currently helping with pain and other problems associated with their military service because VA rates are based on Medicare rates.
