Our Winter 2019 Semester will begin Tuesday, February 5th. Please call us at 912-548-2147 to register. These free classes are for women ages 18 and over in our area. Classes include: Employment Readiness, Computer Basics, Math, Language Skills, Money Management and Bible Study.

Our next term will begin Tuesday, February 5, 2019. Please call 912-548-2147 to enroll. CWJC of Blackshear teaches free job skills classes to women age 18+ from any county. These classes are held at First Baptist Church in Blackshear, GA. We offer two twelve-week terms per year. Classes meet three mornings per week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30 until 12:30. These classes include:... Job Skills This class includes resume writing, preparation for a job interview, setting goals, and the characteristics of a good employee. Computer Skills This class covers the basics of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point. Math This covers the basics of whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratio and proportion, percent, introduction to Geometry, and pre-algebra. Language This includes a review of English basics, writing skills and reading comprehension. Bible study We begin each day with a lesson from Scripture. Our study helps us see God’s plan for us. Guest lectures Throughout the term we invite knowledgeable people from our community who present information on topics such as wellness, seeking employment, continuing education opportunities, money management, and dressing for success. In addition to the classes, each participant is paired with an encourager, who will continue to meet one-on-one with her for a few months after classes end. See more
