Does anyone know who Jim Elliot is/was? Well... two of our great friends (Yulier Licea) and his wife from Cuba are now missionaries in the same jungle area that Jim Elliot first began ministering in. Yulier and his wife are a powerful couple for the Lord and have been in Ecuador for 3 months now. God has already used them to plant a church there, and given them teachers and school workers to disciple at a school where they volunteer. They minister daily to the parents of the... children that go to the school by sharing the Word of God with them, and in 3 months have already gathered 3 cell groups that they meet with weekly to disciple the people in that region of the jungle. Yulier has been our translator in Cuba since we started ministering there and we would do anything to partner with him, no matter where he is on the globe. We can say this confidently - they are go-getters and with a full heart we know that they are overjoyed to share the Gospel day by day. If you are interested in getting your church partnered up with their ministry and church, please let us know. The first thing you would need to do is talk with your pastor or missions pastor to share the story of what God is doing in Ecuador. It would be great to hear what God is doing in your church and how he may be leading you to reach outside the known boundaries of your church.
