LATE SUMMER BEAUTIES AT WILDACRE

We have under-the-cabin cats living at Wildacre! First one stray cat appears, then a kitten shows up, and then you realize it wasn't a kitten after all when suddenly you have 5 cats! The guests have been great about feeding them, but we're hoping to find them homes.There are 3 kittens: a dark gray, a light gray & a tortoiseshell. The mother is Midnight, a solid black cat with green eyes, who's very shy. Butterbean is a good Papa, and the family nap & play at the back of the cabin most of the time. Thinking about names - Since Papa is named after a vegetable, should we follow suit with the kittens - Zucchini (Zuke for short), Okra Winfrey, Sweetpea.....?

Butterbean,one of our stray cabin cats, has been a bad boy. He climbed up the screen on the porch & knocked half a bird's nest down that was under the eaves near the front door. Two of the little fledglings fell out of the nest, but they managed to make their way into a tree. The mother continues to feed them there and also the little ones still in the half nest that remains. Phoebes continue to feed their young for 2-3 weeks after they leave the nest.
