Word of the Day Wednesday Schluter Schluter is a manufacturer of metal trim for the edging of tile. Schluter profiles are available in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes. This trim protects tile edges from cracking and chipping, eliminates the need for caulking, and provide easy transitions between adjacent floor and wall coverings. Schluter also makes shower systems, waterproof membranes, and floor warming products.

Covid related material shortages, supply chain interruptions, delays in ports, no containers, no truck drivers, a ship stuck in the Suez canal -- the reasons go on and on. And for many things that are available, the price has gone up dramatically, for example plywood. It's basic economics: low sup...ply and high demand. If you are shopping for flooring right now, be prepared for back orders. Place your order and wait. Hopefully material availability will get better over the coming months.
