We made this lovely forest last year in our Campfire Tripod class. We love this class because of the obvious, you get to make a really cool and useful tripod. But also because of the challenge of making multiple components which should match and must work together. People often ask us what we do in the shop outside of teaching. Well, we are going to try to get better at sharing that side of our lives. Something that we do a lot of is shop maintenance and repair. Teaching several classes per week, as well as doing production work, puts quite a bit of strain on the equipment. One of our goals is to have a back-up of everything (just in case), including our 2x72 grinders. @mark_j_hopper designed and built our current grinders, based off... of his original Bader model. He has spent the last couple of weeks building another big bunch of them, as back-up and also so that we can expand our knife grinding classes. . . .
