Scriptures: Psalm 51:1-17, Acts 2:38, II Corinthians 7:10 Human sorrow/sorrow of the world: Has no redemption capability. Our pride is wounded because we were caught. I John 1:9 Godly sorrow produces repentance that is brought on by the Holy Spirit. **II Samuel 12:1-13, Numbers 32:23 I. CONFESSING AND FORSAKING Question: What does confess mean? To acknowledge a misdeed or weakness and not cover up. Covering up is not True Repentance. Proverbs 28:13 Question: What does covering up mean? When one confesses his sin, mistake, he is admitting that he has transgressed/sinned against God and acknowledges that he needs the help of God to STOP! II Samuel 12:13 I HAVE SINNED! Question: What does forsake mean? To quit, abandon, leave entirely, submitting and resisting. James 4:7 II. RESULTS OF TRUE REPENTANCE 1. The Inner Man is Cleansed Psalm 51:7, 10, 17 A broken/humble spirit is a teachable spirit. 2. Attitude Change Acts 2:37, 41 When one has truly repented, there will be evidence of CHANGE! A change in attitude and lifestyle. 3. Restoration Inner healing David wanted more than mercy and cleansing, he wanted/needed restoration, an Inner Healing! Isaiah 43:25

Hello everyone, here's our Bible Study Lesson for Wednesday, December 9, 2020 The Covenant Relationship of Knowing God Study Lesson & Teaching Guide: Lesson #6... Do I Know Him/God? Study Scriptures: II Corinthians 3:17-18 Knowing God is not limited to a Moses of our time. Nor is it limited to special Christians. I. PACIFIED AND SATISFIED Many people come to church Sunday after Sunday, Bible Study after Bible Study tobe pacified. They want enough to make them feel like they’ve gotten something, only to discover all week long that they are still hungry. They leave having little or no knowledge of who God is before they came. Pacified but not Satisfied. Matthew 13:20-21, I Corinthians 3:1 Question: What is the purpose of a baby’s pacifier? What happens when a baby gets a pacifier? As long as we are satisfied with the Pacified Knowledge of God, getting by with what tides you over, we will not cry out for the real knowledge. Define: Hungry Question: How hungry are you to know God? What things are you willing to give up to satisfy your hunger? Philippians 3:7-8 II. GET RID OF THE PACIFIER Question: How do you satisfy that pacifier appetite? Trust the Process! 1. Pursue God outside the norm. Jeremiah 29:13 2. Give up trying know God on your terms. Isaiah 55:8-9 3. Desire to Receive the Word of God. Psalm 1:1-2, Exodus 34:29-30, James 1:21

"Serving Leadership Effectively" Purpose of Development: The intent of this period of development is to explore principles of how to effectively serve leadership, in other words, serving those that serve you.... A strong local church & leadership can only be built/have success when strong individuals rise up to serve/support the leadership God has called to lead that particular congregation. *Pastors need people to serve them and to serve with them in ministry. Question: What does it mean to serve? Dictionary: To perform duties or services for another person or organization. Define: Effective? Dictionary: Productive, helpful, helpful, beneficial, useful, and VALUABLE. ) *Everybody should serve leadership, but everyone can’t serve leadership! I. The Qualifications of Serving Effectively A. Have the Spirit of the Leader: (Must share same Mindset, Vision, Passion, and Excellence) No matter how much you love your leadership or how long you’ve been with them. You need your leadership’s spirit in order to serve them effectively. I Corinthians 4:15-17 B. The Desire of Excellence: By serving our leaders effectively, we are serving the Lord effectively. Colossians 3:23-24 (AMP) C. Be Faithful (Dependable, Reliable, Available, Accessible, and Loyal): In your spiritual MATURITY & your ministry to your leaders. I Corinthians 3:1-3 D. Pray & Protect: Pray (By name, relationship w/God, family, wisdom, health) I Timothy 2:1-3, Protect (*Refuse to listen to or spread gossip about your leaders) E. Obey & Submit to Your Leaders: How can you effectively serve someone you can't submit to or obey? Hebrews 13:17 F. Connect but Honor (Respect, Value): *Remember not to think of your leaders as "one of the guys or gals". We are able to serve more effectively when we recognize our leaders as gifts from God and never take them for granted and ALWAYS treat them with HIGH respect/honor. Romans 13:6,7
