Grady County Schools proudly hosted a Signing Day Ceremony for students receiving the REACH Scholarship. REACH (Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen) Georgia is a needs based scholarship that begins in 8th grade. REACH Scholars are paired with a mentor and an academic coach through high school. Scholars must maintain a 2.5 gpa in core courses, good behavior and good attendance through middle school and high school. Scholars who successfully complete the program and graduate from high school are awarded a $10,000 scholarship that can be used at any University System of Georgia or Technical College System of Georgia Institution. Congratulations to all recipients!

Message from Washington Middle School Attention Parents: this morning at 10:00 am we were notified of a city traffic stop at the edge of our campus. Out of an abundance of caution our resource office requested we lock down our campus until the traffic stop was complete. At approximately 10:15 we opened our campus back up after we were given the all clear. ... No one on our campus was ever In danger. Thank You !

Good morning. In light of recent events that have occurred on the CHS campus, we will have a search of our campus by the Administration this morning at 8:30. CHS will be on lockdown during the search. Also present will be the Grady County School Police and other law enforcement agencies. This is a step towards being proactive in dealing with recent events that have taken place. We will do all that we can to keep our campus safe, weapons or illegal drugs will not be tolerated.
