I do so love oxidized silver! This morning I took the time to I make fresh homemade candles to go in Chandelier Farmhouse and Chandelier Cottage. It takes a bit of time and patience but I think my guests are worth it.

Yesterday I finally made the time to make some new candles for the cottage and the farmhouse. Vintage crystal candy dishes and silver plate sugar bowls and creamers make some pretty neat candles.

Meanwhile on the farm..... Betty strolled into the house, chatted a bit then strolled right out. She is certainly more entertaining than the news.

Almost a year ago I started talking to Jules Tatum, in Charlottesville, VA about a Chambers Stove. He had the exact model I wanted restored and ready for pick up in February. Then Covid happened. Then life happened. Finally this month, Justin Elliott and I made the 18 hour trip to Jules in Charlottesville, VA to pick up this beauty. She is a 1948 Chambers BZ stove. She has been sitting on my back porch waiting on cabinet guys and solid surface guys to help widen the opening... to install in the kitchen. In the meantime, I have had her connected to a 20 lb propane tank and have cooked on her everyday. Today she moved into the house and I am beyond excited. She is beautiful AND she cooks better than anything I have ever cooked on. My excitement is equal to or more than a kid at Christmas!
