Today we spotlight Jessica for National Dental Hygiene Appreciation Month. Jessica has been with our practice for 3.5 years. Her favorite part of being a dental hygienist is the relationships she has with her patients. We asked Jessica a few fun questions. "Thor" If you could give anyone a piece of life advice what would it be? "Go for it, set high goals, don't doubt yourself; and have a grateful heart. You have one life- find your personal happiness." Dental hygienist are superheros in their own way, who is your favorite superhero? "Spiderman" If you could give any piece of life advice what would it be? "Love your life, take pictures of everything. Tell people you love them often. Talk to random strangers. Do things that you're scared to do. Take your life and make it the best story in the world. October is National Dental Hygiene Month! Today we spotlight Traci. Traci has been with our practice for 18.5 years! Her favorite part about being a dental hygienist is building relationships with her patients and earning their trust. I asked her a few questions to help us get to know her a little more. If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go? "Hawaii with my husband and three children."... If you could give someone any piece of life advice what would it be? "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." They say, dental hygienist are superheroes, who is your favorite superhero? "Not all superheroes wear capes, some wear fire helmets. Although I love all Macon-Bibb Co. firefighters, Capt. Chad Davis is my favorite." Thank you Traci for all you do for us and your patients! We appreciate you so much! Today we showered the soon to be newlyweds with a beautiful fall outdoor luncheon. Congratulations to the soon to be Dr. Eric and Jessica Hall. They will be getting married this Saturday! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!

Halloween, Thanksgiving, parties, football involve various unhealthy foods. As a responsible family member, we should encourage healthy eating and drinking during fall by offering healthy snacks to kids during Halloween instead of candy and by cooking or opting for healthier food and drinks during Thanksgiving and football parties. One should be cautious when buying pumpkin spiced foods and drinks such as coffees that contain high levels of sugar and artificial flavors. Gummies as a sweet treat or as multi vitamins have become very popular today and it is not recommended for kids and adults to chew on these. If you must give multi vitamins to your kids, make sure they brush after eating gummies or switch to healthier forms of multis or even better way is to provide adequate nutrition through natural foods.

We are so lucky to have our team of dental hygienists that we do here. Traci, Hailey, and Jessica are very talented and educated. Now that's sweet! Did you know your favorite Fall drink may be loaded with sugar? Sugar is one of the top contributors to tooth decay and oral disease. While we understand that cutting these delicious pumpkin treats out of your diet may not be 100% achievable. Remember to brush and floss after enjoying your favorite coffee.
