Dear TPS Parents, As you may be aware, Tallapoosa Primary School was vandalized last night. At this time our staff are working to clean up and repair the damage. Although we are unable to serve all of our students today, we plan to be fully operational by tomorrow morning and will resume classes on our regular schedule. Please know that student safety is our top priority. We are currently working closely with local law enforcement agencies to address the situation. At this ti...me we have found no cause for concern regarding any continuing threat to our students. The HCSD would like to thank the Haralson County Sheriff's Office and the Tallapoosa Police Department for their promptness and professionalism in the handling of this matter. Please let them know how much you appreciate their support of our schools.

BIG NEWS from the Rushing Rebels!!! Clay Hyatt is this week’s Georgia High School Football Daily’s Player of the Week! GHSF Daily is publication that works in part with the Georgia High School Football Historians Association. Story below. Hyatt Powers Haralson to Historic Win... Clay Hyatt rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries last week, but close inspection reveals the Haralson County quarterback played even better than it sounded in a 36-29 victory over No. 2 Callaway in a Class 2A game. Hyatt didn’t attempt a pass, but he caught one a 26-yard touchdown on a fake field goal. Hyatt is the holder on field goals and handed off to wingback Antonio Crapp, who threw a strike to Hyatt down the left sideline for a 16-0 lead. Hyatt also played some outside linebacker and had six tackles. But Hyatt is most gifted as a power runner. He’s 6-foot-1 and 215 pounds, and he has surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for the second consecutive season. Hyatt had 102 yards after contact against Callaway in a win that represents the first for Haralson over a top-five program in history. He carried defenders for four huge first downs, Haralson coach Scott Peavey said. He played unreal against one of the best teams in the state. Hyatt is GHSF Daily’s state Player of the Week.
