As we are learning how the kingdom of God operates, we turned to Jesus’ Parable of the Mustard seed and learned that this is the example Jesus used to illustrate His kingdom. On Sunday, the Holy Spirit led Pastor Trey to talk about the hour of the power of darkness. This is that evil day where the gates of hell seem to be unleashed on anything from an individual's life to the entire world. This past year has certainly seemed to be one of those hours. We are saddened today to announce the loss of one of our beloved church members - Elijah Thomas. Elijah passed away late last evening, Oct. 25th. We will miss our brother, but rejoice in knowing that he is healed & whole in the presence of Jesus.

Part 4 of a 13-week teaching on the book of Colossians by Senior Pastor Trey Dickerson. This week's online session is called, "Jesus, Jesus and More Jesus."

In this teaching, Pastor Trey shows from Jesus' words in Matthew chapter 6 both what prayer is and what it is not. We learned that where we pray and the words we use when we pray is not as important as our heart's motivation. Once we eliminate the mechanical and traditional parts of our prayers, then we can truly start praying.

Our HPC Children's Minister, Julie King, has been doing a weekly video for our kids while we are not able to have Children's Church. This week's video is "Daniel and the Lions."
