We are pleased to announced that Hogansville Coffee is now for sale at Main Street Market, right across from Blue Train Books in Hogansville. We are excited about this partnership, just as we are excited to have this new fresh market in Hogansville. Come check them out for produce, Georgia-made foods, quality meats and cheeses, good beer and wine. Family owned by Hogansville residents. If you have not tried it, Hogansville Coffee is sold in full pound bags, always fresh. The... roaster makes it for us in small batches. While its still warm from the roast, the roaster puts it straight into these beautiful bags, which protect from oxygen and light. The bags have a one-way valve so that the CO-2 that off-gasses from the freshly roasted beans can escape the bag without letting oxygen in. Brilliant. The bags are heat-sealed, not just folded over. Each bag comes with a handy clip, so that each time you make coffee you can fold the flap down and squeeze all the air out through the one-way valve. Can you tell we have something of an obsession with freshness? Why is that? It's not just the taste, though it certainly is that. Our theory is that the well-documented herbal health benefits from drinking coffee, the plant, makes it worth going to the trouble for freshness. What's the point in saving a few bucks to buy something that's been on the shelf for weeks or months, during which time it not only gets stale but loses the active and fresh phytonutrient benefits?
