Hope took home Best Trunk at the 2020 YMCA trunk or treat! It looked a little different, but we had a great time. (Don't worry, we masked up except to take these pictures.) We taught our elephant a cool trick...he had Candy slide out his trunk!!! Thanks for a great night!!

MEET: Hannah Miller, Kennel Technician Hannah started as a Kennel Technician at HAMC in January of 2020. She grew up in the Northeast Georgia area and has been residing in Athens with her fiancé Jonathan Hargrove, since mid 2019, who is a professional freelance photographer. For three years she was a certified teaching assistant at a Preschool for children ages 12-24 months, but has always had a strong passion to work with animals. Hannah was thrilled to be given the opportun...ity to start at HAMC to gain more experience in the veterinary field. In her spare time she enjoys being in nature by camping, hiking, or any water based activities. She has two fur babies, Silas, and Lucifer (Louie). Silas is a 1 year old, eager to please, chocolate lab, who is currently in training to become her Pancreatic Alert Dog. Lucifer is her 5 year old handsome, yet spicy Balinese cat. MEET: Megan Wood, Registered Veterinary Technician Megan is one of the latest additions to the team at Hope Animal Medical Center. She felt compassion for animals at a young age which led her to the field of veterinary medicine. Her very first pet was a stray cat named Kahna, who she spent months gaining her trust and caring for. In May 2020, she graduated from Athens Technical College's Veterinary Technology Program. Upon graduating she immediately sought out Hope Animal Me...dical Center, and to her excitement, they hired her. She is a Fear Free certified professional, and she plans to pursue a specialization in animal behavior. Megan's heart and soul are her two spoiled cats, Mila and Gidget, and her two dogs, a bully mix named Cheese and a lab named Fred. In her free time, she takes aerial arts classes and enjoys hiking mountain trails with a nice cold waterfall at the end. Although her schooling has come to an end, Megan hopes to learn even more from her wonderful coworkers and provide the outstanding care to her clients that her clinic is known for. See more
