Welcome the to Clinic, Jennie! Jennie earned her Master's of Occupational Therapy degree from Georgia State University as well as a Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). She has a passion for disability advocacy, which blossomed from having a younger brother with Down Syndrome and was cultivated during her time in GaLEND (Georgia Leadership and Education in Neuro-Development Disabilities). For the past year, she has been working in the outpatient pe...diatric setting, with a specific focus on working with kiddos on the Autism Spectrum. Jennie has specialized training in the SOS Approach to Feeding and has a passion for creating a playful, low-stress, and sensory-friendly environment where children can learn to explore foods in a way that feels safe and fun to them. She is passionate about providing individualized, strengths-based, family-centered care, as she learned the importance of from her time in GaLEND as well as from her relationship with her brother, John. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including her five nephews and soon to be niece. This month, we had two more of our lovely staff members celebrate big work anniversaries! Melissa has been a PT with IHPT for 11 years! Melissa says I love working with kids because it is so rewarding to help them reach new milestones and watching how excited they and their families get! I enjoy the challenge of balancing work and play and that every day is different! . I work with some of the best therapists who all have the same goal in mind. It's nice to be able to co...llaborate with the PT team and other disciplines for new ideas! Jennifer E. is celebrating 5 years at IHPT! She has a Masters in Healthcare Administration and has been working at therapy practices for 7 years. She loves her coworkers and seeing the kids excel! Such an amazing time and privilege to host the Rotary Club of Canton at our office. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day and our wonderful Cindy Shultz Comstock spruced up the backyard so nicely with our mums from Bosses day.
