I promise there is method to our madness ! Many parents don’t understand when we are doing certain activities when they brought there child in for not talking, hand writing problems, difficulty attending, sensory problems, picky eater, poor visual skills, low tone, or poor strength and endurance. Well here is a great visual on how our body works. We have to have the foundational systems stable before moving to more complex skills. Ok... who else has heard of a yes day! This is a new one for me but how fun! I often find my self busy with work, house chores, errands, and day to day obligations that I often find myself saying no all of the time haha! I love this idea and will definitely be trying it! WHAT IS YES DAY... I’m not sure if there is an official definition of Yes Day but I consider it a day where the kids get to make plans and decide what to do during that day. This is where we start increasing joint attention. We play simple activities and games to increase attention for functional task. Then we can move to more complex activities to reach milestone goals! We can teach families how to use these activities to increase functional play and attention skills
