Going to take the mini-farms to Buck Jones Nursery at Woodstock, GA this week end. Come see our display and let us show you just how easy it can be to start your own non-GM food supply. Plus, see beautiful and unique spring selection of flowers and plants

The FDA recently held a public meeting outlining the creation of genetically modified humans. These experiments won't take place in the distant future. In fact, GMO embryos have already been created via in vitro experiments. http://orgcns.org/1bTyw89

Fat Earth tells what's in store bought tomatoes. 1/3 of American "fresh" tomatoes are on our grocery store shelves. Grown in Florida sand, injected with methyl bromide ( which can kill humans in small amts.) and sealed under plastic. The many chemicals they use to kill fungus and other disease are still on them when we buy them. They pick the tomatoes at 10-15 weeks instead of the 60-90 day natural growth period. Ethylene gas comes next, which gives them the red color. These tomatoes have 0 nutrient value for us, only chemicals that can cause diabetes, lupus, high blood pressure, emphysema, arthritis, and kidney failure to name a few. Krista Jeanne's Mini-Farms offers families an option to end GMO in their food supply.

I'm thinking about a couple of apple trees right now! I can smell fresh fried apples, just thinking about it. Apple butter and applesauce are two of my favorite foods. It takes a couple years to reap the rewards, so I need to get started. I am hoping I don't have to wait until fall because I'm so ready now! I know our winters are considered mild though. Either way, in the spring or fall I will be purchasing my fruit trees from Buck Jones Nursery- 40 years of experience and interest makes them a wise choice for me.
