It is with a very sad and heavy heart we announce the passing of our great Mayor, Larry Morgan. More than a Mayor he was a friend to many and certainly to those of us here at the fire department. Many days you would see Larry cruising town or occasionally pulling into his spot at City Hall in his much beloved Corvette. He loved that car and spent many hours tinkering on and restoring it. He was an avid GA Tech fan and would look at you sideways if you said Go Dawgs. Larry loved his family and was a doting grandfather. He loved Jesus, was an avid drummer, frequent flyer, a strong advocate for his community and his church. He leaves behind a spot that will be impossible to fill. Please join us in sending condolences to his wife, Marsha, daughter and son, Niky and Sam, and grandson, Braylon. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
