YES WE ARE OPEN! We are taking as many precautionary measures as possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Masks are required upon entry to building. Masks are provided to any patients who don't have a mask with them. Non-contact temperature checks performed to anyone who comes into our office prior to sitting down in waiting room. If they have a fever greater than 100.4 F they are asked to leave and contact their primary care provider for further instructions. All equipment is wiped down with disinfectant after patient use. We'd love to get you set up for physical therapy or occupational therapy today! 229-243-8124

Did you know if you work for MHM and have our insurance plan you can start physical therapy at no additional cost to you. Also, if you work for the City of Bainbridge, Bainbridge Public Safety, or Decatur County and have their insurance plans you could potentially have the same benefits. Call 229-243-8124 to see if this applies to your individual health care plan.

We are still treating patients daily. If you aren't in a high risk category and you have pain or difficulty walking due to a recent injury that you opted out of therapy due to the initial shelter in place orders (not a bad idea) it's time to get back closer to normal. Remember what it was like to wake up and not think about what was going to hurt? It's not an easy road, it'll take work and effort, but we'd love to direct you down that road with physical therapy. Call 243-8124 to set up an appointment today. Guys!!! Read this nice summary from of a newly published article. Janell Cleveland, author of the blog Simple Science Now, has summarized this medical journal to an easy to understand format. Bottom line: Get out there and exercise! Don't wait for the next pandemic. IMPORTANT UPDATE ABOUT COVID-19: A new study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) shows that out of 5,700 patients who were hospitalized with COVID-19 in New York, 57% had hypertensi...on(Hugh blood pressure), 42% were obese, and 34% had diabetes. This was across ALL AGES. Of these people, 21% died of COVID-19. All of these conditions (hypertension, diabetes, obesity) can be improved (if not eliminated) with diet and exercise. There's no magic pill for this. Get your heart rate up at least 30 minutes every day, longer if you can. You can do this. Take a brisk walk. Do jumping jacks in your living room. Watch what you put in your mouth. Cut out packaged foods, processed foods, junk foods, and soda. Focus on proteins and fruits and veggies. We've all known we should be doing this for years, but now, it could LITERALLY save your life in the short term. See more
