Good morning from Metro we hope everyone is doing well. We had an attorney reach out to us and say he was enjoying reading and learning about the copier Industry and the fundamentals of the business. He said you guys are like watchdogs and that is a good thing. He also asked us to tell the folks what is the best way to acquire a copier and avoid all the sales slang and tactics.... Well here is your answer, First lease or buy the copier only and keep the service maintenance contract separate just like you do with your cars. (Same principal as cars as with copiers) The reason for this is to negotiate the lowest rate you can and ask how often increases will occur or how long is this rate good for? (read the fine print) This way the customer holds most of the cards and control and shows transparency and DOES NOT GET PENALIZED. Metro offers in house leasing and third party leasing which third party leasing is always going to be the most cost effective way to go because the bigger banks have the means. DON'T FALL FOR A SALESMAN SAYING WHAT IF I CAN WRAP ALL YOUR LEASE, SERVICE AND PROPERTY TAX CHARGES ALL IN ONE FOR YOU TO LESSON YOUR PAIN. (PRETTY PICTURE) WHY? YOU DON'T KNOW THE RATE THEY ARE USING IN WHICH IS MUCH HIGHER AND YOU DON'T KNOW THE SERVICE RATE ONLY THE OVERAGE RATE AND THE VENDOR GETS ALL THIS FUNDING UP FRONT. THE CUSTOMER ENDS UP PAYING A LOT MORE AND GETTING PENALIZED ON THE SERVICE BECAUSE THERE IS AN AGREED UPON AMOUNT IN THE BEGINNING AND WHEN DOES A CUSTOMER EVER RUN THE SAME AMOUNT OF COPIES EVER MONTH, YOU WILL END UP PAYING FOR MORE THAN YOU ARE USING OR GETTING SLAMMED WITH OVERAGES. THE VENDOR THEN HOLDS ALL THE CARDS. BE SMART AS I KNOW YOU ALL ARE AND DO A LITTLE MORE WORK TO DO THE RIGHT THING YOUR VENDOR WILL UNDERSTAND AND WORK THE DEAL YOUR WAY BECAUSE THEY WANT TO DO THE RIGHT THING THE RIGHT WAY!
