Y'all....Stacey Abrams is literally the reason why we give to FairFight as an organization. Registering voters in a state where disenfranchisement and gerrymandering and voter suppression of BIPOC is rampant isn't easy. That hope isn't easy to sell but Stacey Abrams, New Georgia Project, Fair Fight Action, are selling that hope that GA is turning blue even if this lead doesn't hold. John Lewis - I wish you were here to see it. We donated 3x to FairFight this year. It is impor...tant to us that our members, staff, and followers know who we are and what we stand for. Many make the assumption that artists, makers, and suppliers are on the side of Democracy and decency but silence is violence so that is why we talk all the damn time, because comfort isn't progress. Silence doesn't call racism and bigotry to the table. Voting does and making sure EVERY vote counts is essential. Props and love to Stacey and all of those helping to count votes, and canvas provisional ballots. https://www.msn.com//stacey-abrams-says-my-he/ar-BB1aLaTU

Woo hoo - we have power and kilns are firing! Thank you Georgia Power!

MudFire 31.08.2020

ETA 1:00PM for power to turn back on tomorrow. But.....please call before you head in if you intend to drop off or pick up work, because if the power is not on the kiln room will remain closed. Keep in mind - the power to the studio runs from Laredo - a big street that got power restored quickly. The kiln room runs from Pine Street which only has 5 homes w/o power. We are not the priority, and Georgia Power has restored power to hundreds of thousands of homes. Grateful for linepeople and all the folks removing trees. Also keep in mind - we have been unable to unload or fire since Thursday when the storm hit. Again - call us at 404-377-8033 before you head in if you want to use the kiln room. The studio is open & bright and ready for you to work.

Folx....I know it is frustrating, but we don't have power in the kiln room and won't. To keep you safe and to keep the work of everyone safe we can not let you access the kiln room until power is back on. We have power in the studio - you can throw, trim, make, glaze and keep pots on your shelf but we can NOT let you into the kiln room. This post from GA power explains why power outages are spotty throughout the city. Thank you for your patience!

If you voted by mail in GA - check to make sure your ballot was received. Steps to check and what to do if it hasn't been counted here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CG-XeGipWtM/

Remember - today is the last day to early vote. I voted this week - super easy - less than 20 minutes. https://georgia.gov/early-voting

Hey y'all - GA power is working as hard as they can - GA had 900,000 people without power yesterday and we are on the list to be repaired by November 1 at 11pm. Until then, the kiln room is closed. Thank you for your patience while we wait for power to Pine Street to be restored.

Hey peeps! We are lucky enough to have water and power in the studio but not the kiln room as of 5:30PM. Please don't come in expecting to glaze and drop off or pick up in the kiln room. Once the sun goes down it'll be closed till daylight tomorrow. And, once the shelves fill up - it'll have to be closed until we have power again. Thank you for your understanding.

Join us this Saturday at 11am for the Sour Peach Collective market featuring 20 local vendors in a safe, spread out, yard show with mask requirements in place. Meredith Bradley and Christina Kosinski are the market founders and we agreed to host their first event in our yard - but if you know a great space - let them know for the next market We'll also have a pumpkin patch to usher in fall. Bring a friend, have a little fun, and support local artists impacted by Covid-19.
