When life hands you lemons you make lemonade. We understand everyone is adjusting to the new normal and we have seen first hand how crazy life can be. Our staff has been working so hard to make sure patient care is our number one priority, while keeping everyone safe. When we receive a hand written thank you from a patient, we know we are doing a good job despite some negativity, most people have been so understanding. We understand it’s frustrating when wait times are longer than usual but, please know we are making every effort to keep you and our staff safe. Thank you for your continued support. We have all been faced with what is the right decision to make during this difficult time whether to stay open or close. We have made the decision to continue caring for patients who are experiencing dental emergencies and/or are in pain. This decision was based solely on what is best for a patient care and unburdening our hospital ERs. We will be practicing with limited staff for the time being, and a patient free waiting room. March 18, 2020 Dear Colleagues, As always, our number one concern is the health and safety of our patients and staff. Our office is currently open for normal business hours until further notice. Dr. Nadler is actively monitoring the recommendations provided by the Georgia Department of Public Health, the CDC, the GDA and the ADA. We will continue to take care of patients in pain and requiring urgent care mostly to keep patients out of emergency rooms. Many healthcare provid...ers have chosen to close based on their clinical judgment, and we are aware of how hard the decision was for you to make and commend your efforts in helping reduce exposure to COVID-19. Our office wants you to know we are here for you and your patients should they require urgent care. Dr. Nadler is a medical doctor who specializes in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. If you have a patient in need of services, please consider calling us to have your patient seen by Dr. Nadler. Our staff and Dr. Nadler are continuing to use universal precautions as we always have to minimize the spread of any contagious disease. Additionally, we are taking every individuals temperature before entering the office, and screening patients for symptoms of COVID-19 and will refer positive patients to the hospital. Your Health is Our Top Priority At North Georgia Oral Surgery, we are committed to the safety of each of our patients and staff. In light of the recent coronavirus outbreak, I would like to update you regarding what our practice is doing. First we have decided to continue our normal business hours at this time, but will continue to evaluate the situation and respond accordingly. Most of our infection control standards are not changing. The CDC and the Department of Public Hea...lth have continued to update guidelines to respond to this novel coronavirus (COV ID-19). We're Implementing these guidelines and our office will add some more screening and contact protection: 1. Reception Room. In the interest of reducing the number of extra people in the office, we are asking patient's rides for surgery and anyone accompanying you to your appointment, to remain in their vehicles on the premises during your surgery or appointment. 2. We will be screening patients and anyone with the patient prior to entering the Reception Room. If they have any Flu-like symptoms, or have been in contact with someone who has, they will be asked to reschedule. 3. A temporal artery thermometer will be used on everyone including patients, parents and staff, and if the reading is greater than 101 they will need to reschedule. 4. Patients will need to inform us if they or someone they are in close contact with has traveled to a high-risk location in the last 14 days so we can reschedule. 5. Every person entering the office will be required to sanitize their hands before entering the Reception Room. 6. We will try to schedule patients in the surgery rooms to reduce people having to gather at the front desk. If you have dropped off, we will try to call you to schedule and update you on the appointment. 7. Please understand, we will now refrain from handshaking. All of our universal precaution protocols are still in effect. We do this every day for your safety, as well as that of our team. We are requiring patients and staff to stay home if they are not feeling well.
