Friends, Due to the recent storm, the Eruv is down and will not be repaired in time for Shabbat. In my twelve years in Atlanta, this is the first Shabbat that I can remember the Eruv being down. We should take a moment and appreciate all those who work weekly to check and maintain our Eruv enabling us to carry on Shabbat. Important note for this Shabbat: There is a strong possibility that the Eruv will be down for Shabbat. A separate email will be going out from Rabbi Starr discussing the Halachik ramifications and procedures. The shul grounds itself is completely fenced in, so one is allowed to carry within the gate of the shul. Therefore, all services will continue to take place.
