Walk-in visits are available at PTP Monday through Saturday to help your child get back to school (and you back to work) quickly. THIS YEAR IS DIFFERENT: 1. MISSED SCHOOL AND WORK: A few minutes today can save days for you and your child later. With current isolation and quarantine recommendations, flu-like symptoms will lead to more school and work days missed than it has in other years. 2. MISSED SPORTS AND EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: Less illness means less time out of these activities that are important to you and your child. 3. MORE SEVERE ILLNESS: We don’t know yet how much more severe sympto...ms will be if someone gets flu and COVID-19 at the same time, but it is safe to expect that it will be worse than having the flu alone or COVID-19 alone. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: 1. No appointment necessary. Just come during regular business hours. Call us when you arrive. We may be able to give the vaccine curbside if weather and staffing permit. 2. If your child has not been seen at Prime Time Pediatrics before and you would like to save time when you come for the vaccine, download and complete our registration materials at primetimepeds.com or register online at primetimeurgentcare.com 3. Flu shots are available for children 6 months and older. 4. If your child is 3 years old, we will need to administer 2 doses of the 6-35 month vaccine (Afluria) to give them a full dose. In-network plans will cover the first dose. The self-pay fee for the second dose is $40 if insurance does not cover it. 5. Children 4 years and older will receive a single dose of Flucelvax. 6. If your insurance plan is Wellcare, Amerigroup, CareSource, Peach State or Medicaid, we cannot provide the vaccine to your child and we are not allowed to permit you to self-pay for the vaccine. Please contact your primary doctor or your county health department to get your flu vaccine. 7. Vaccines are available on a first-come, first-served basis 8. If your child is under four years old and has an egg allergy, a note of clearance for the vaccine is needed from their primary doctor or their allergist. 9. If your child is under 8 years old and has never received a flu vaccine, a second dose is needed at least 30 days later (in-network plans will cover this second dose). 10. Most insurance plans fully cover preventive vaccines. For self-pay and out-of-network, flu shots are $40 for children under 3 years of age and $30 for children 4 and over.

Over the past year, we have had a lot of parents ask if we provide care for adults, too. While Prime Time Pediatrics still only provides care to pediatric patients, we are pleased to announce that we have partnered with PrimeTime Urgent Care, conveniently located right next door, to provide care to the whole family. When you visit PTUC, you will be cared for by expert providers with extensive experience caring for patients with urgent medical issues. The providers at PTUC are able to see children, also, in the event that PTP is closed at the time you come for your visit. Please see the attached photos for the new hours for PTUC and PTP. PLEASE NOTE: PTUC is a new practice and is still being added to the various insurance plans. Please verify that PTUC is on your insurance plan before your visit.
