Attention, Seniors! YouScience Login Instructions The YouScience test is an aptitude test that assesses your natural abilities and matches you up with jobs/careers that match those abilities. It also gives you a wealth of information about yourself! Most of the 20-21 class of seniors at AHS missed this assessment. We encourage you to take it especially if you are not sure what you want to do with your life. Below is a link to an introduction video for YouScience and instr...uctions to access the assessment. The entire test takes 90mins, but it’s broken down into a series of short mini tests which are like brain games. The longest test is no more than 15min. Some will be easy and some will be hard. Do your best on each one and don’t cheat! The results are only relevant if you give an honest effort. You don’t have to complete the whole test at once. You do need to complete each mini test once you start it. 24hrs after you complete the last test, your results will be ready! Come see your counselor if you need help interpreting the results. The boys placed 3rd at the state championships today. The girls were 14th. It’s been a hard year for these kids. I’m just glad they got a chance to compete. It was a very close meet. We only 18 points out of first. But it was our 19th top 5 finish out of the last 25 years.

UPDATE! WE WERE APPROVED JUST MINUTES AGO. REGISTER SOON AS SEATS WILL GO QUICKLY! -->Attention AHS Cougars interested in the ACT! Our school has just applied for an increased capacity of standard time/ no writing test, which is scheduled for 12/12/20. If you are interested, go to the ACT site and try to grab a spot. Correction/ Location Change: Virtual Learners will report to the MEDIA CENTER wearing a face mask tomorrow between 3:45 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to have their photo taken. Only students are allowed in the building, and they will enter through the 200 Hall and exit down the 100 Hall. Students must leave the premises once their photo is taken.

1. Senior Pictures with Cady Studios that were scheduled at AHS for Nov 17, 18 & Dec 1 will now take place in the MEDIA CENTER. Females may wish to wear spaghetti straps, as they must move the straps down over their shoulders (the tops of their shoulders are exposed in the black drape). 3. Tomorrow is school picture day for grades 9-11. Face-to-Face students will be escorted to the OLD GYM during their English classes all periods. Virtual (SBDL) students may come from 3:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. to the Old Gym to have their photo taken. Only STUDENTS are allowed in the Old Gym, and they must have on a face mask (except during the 5-second picture).The MAKE UP day is scheduled for January 13, 2021. From the Douglas County School System: Dear Parents, Guardians, and Employees, Due to expected inclement weather, Thursday, October 29, will be a Digital Learning Day for all students. All students will learn from home on a normal schedule, assuming there are no widespread power outages in our area.... All employees who work 10 months (190 days or fewer) will work from home. All other employees (200, 205, 210, 215, 220 and 240) will report to their work location at 10:00 a.m. We want all of our students, families, and employees to stay safe!

Check out what's happening at ALX!!! Mrs. Palmer’s Essentials to Healthcare classes are utilizing the 3-D Anatomage table for their anatomy lessons. The table allows for four different cadavers to be used for student learning activities. Students in this course also receive an anatomy credit.
