Bring yourself luck and wealth in the New Year by starting it off with Collard Greens. Instructions: In a 10-qt. stock pot over medium heat, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until almost crisp. Add onion, sautéing for an additional 8 minutes. Add garlic and smoked ham and sauté an additional minute.... Stir in chicken broth, greens, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Keep at a simmer for 2 hours, or to your desired degree of tenderness. See more

Tell us about your Christmas morning traditions. Here at Stripling's, our Christmas morning always starts with a classic: Stripling's breakfast casserole. Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 325F. 2. Brown the sausage and drain.... 3. In a large bowl whisk together the eggs, milk, dry mustard, onion powder, salt and pepper. 4. Place the cubed bread in a well buttered 9x13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with cheese. Sprinkle with mushrooms, onions and peppers if using. Top with the browned crumbled sausage. Pour the egg milk mixture evenly over the top. 5. At this stage you can cover and chill overnight, if you want to prepare ahead. If not, let sit for 10 minutes before putting in the oven (so that the bread absorbs the milk egg mixture). Bake uncovered for about one hour. *tent with foil if the top begins to brown too quickly See more
