Happy October! October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer starts when cells in the breast grow out of control. It is the second most common cancer in women, and 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop it in her lifetime. Although rare, men get breast cancer too; in fact, an estimated 2,620 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This month, we are GOING PINK to raise breast cancer awareness and to show our support for the cause. If you have an appointment in October, we invite you to join the fight and wear pink to your next office visit. Check out our awesome patients who have worn pink already!
