Mr. Gabriel is a dapper fellow who is a prime example of how sweet, and easygoing, orange kitties usually are. He wasn’t quite sure what was up with the needles initially but it didn’t take him long to settle in and enjoy them!

My favorite part of the treatment, and I would definitely say one of Ryder’s too! As he kept sneaking up for his treat, only his nose is in relative focus.

Beautiful Autumn has been receiving electroacupuncture therapy for back and hip pain that was severely restricting her ability to move around and adversely impacting her quality of life. Since starting the treatments, Autumn is now moving around more freely and comfortably with only a small limp. Not only is she able walk around and stand for longer periods, she actually ran this morning according to her mother. Autumn appears to truly enjoy her spa time. She came right in and immediately settled down in her favorite spot and didn’t seem to want to get back in the carrier when the session was done.

This is Pearl after weekly electro-acupuncture therapy. She still has some issues, but is now playing vigorously with the other dogs in the household (something she shied away from previously). She is also able to push herself up with her rear legs while on soft surfaces such as the sofa.

This video was taken about a week prior to Pearl’s first appointment. Pearl is a well-loved rescue whose owner had taken her to her regular veterinarian for a complete workup which revealed no abnormalities on xrays that could account for her problems. At 2 years old, Pearls owner wanted to do everything she could to help her. She had added joint supplements which seemed to help some but she decided to try acupuncture as well.

Lovely Pearl came for her electro-acupuncture session today. She spends the time lounging and enjoying spa time with her Mom.

Three of my favorite whirling dervishes came for a visit today and thoroughly enjoyed their acupuncture session. These wonderfully conditioned, incredibly fit, athletes receive periodic tune-ups as part of their fitness regimen.

Miss Cleo demonstrating the resuscitative effects of the magic minnows. She is such a trooper! She is not letting her lymphosarcoma diagnosis get between her and some tasty treats!! A girl after my own heart!!! Not to mention my fingers!

I’ve decided, based on extensive research (4 patients ), that Frenchies must have an acupuncture gene in their DNA. So far, they all tend to become relaxed and completely boneless. Thankfully, resuscitation is just a minnow treat away!!

This beautiful sweetie was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma, though it is hard to tell based on her attitude. Cleo is bright and spunky and just a doll. She did so well with her first office visit which included her very first acupuncture session. Her integrative treatment plan will include acupuncture and Chinese herbs to help support her immune system and overall quality of life. Additionally she will be receiving a home-prepared diet of fresh, whole foods to augment the therapies that she will be receiving.

I always love when appointments are family affairs, though I will say this is probably the most unusual pair! Due to the great difference in size, it’s nearly impossible to get them in the same frame for a little photo opportunity. Arya is a beautiful gentle giant who receives acupuncture, and takes Chinese herbs for mild seizure behavior. And Teigan is king of all he surveys who, very graciously, allows me to use acupuncture on him for his intermittent urinary issues. They are both a pleasure to work with and never fail to make me smile.

This little cutie pie came for his first acupuncture session today and was so good! Just like his big brother Brutus, Whistler really enjoyed his needles.

Frankie has always loved his acupuncture sessions but his brother Louie also seems to think they’re the pretty wonderful...even without the needles. If he gets any more relaxed, he’s going to be a puddle.
